Hi everybody.
Just wondering if somebody can point me to a best practice guide for backing up an SCCM Installation with Veeam.
SCCM is on a VM and the SQL Server instance resides on another VM with various other SQL Instances.
Thanks for some inputs.
Regards
Peter

Re: Backing up SCCM Best Practices
Hi Peter,
Not sure that there are SCCM specific guidelines, but you need to make sure that application aware image processing is enabled for these VMs. This will allow VSS writers/providers to prepare the application for a consistent backup. If your remote SQL Server is not running in the simple mode, then you should also take care about the logs truncation. This option is part of the backup job settings.
Hope this helps!
