Backing up SQL 2012 with 6.0 - can I do it?

Post by Aech »

As per title just wondering if backing up a SQL 2012 database with Veeam 6.0 is supported or do I have to go to 6.5? Was hoping just to jump to 7 when it comes out to save doing the upgrade twice.

Thanks

Version 7 is already out, we have released last week. Backing up a SQL 2012 database with Veeam 6.0 is supported, but I would not recommend staying on 6.0 for other reasons... I recommend at least 6.1, better yet 6.5.

ok great thanks. Ive been trying to find something that says Veeam 7 still supports VMWare 4.1. I'm assuming that it does but you know what they say about assumptions...are you able to confirm?

Thanks
