Backing up volumes sequentially?

Hello,

I have a question about running backup jobs. I have a server with two volumes. I notice that when the job runs, that both volumes are being backed up concurrently. It is reading both volumes at the same time.

I'm curious on whether or not this is something that is configurable? Can I force my job to backup these volumes in a sequential order? I would like to see the job backup one volume and only that volume, and then move on to the next volume once the first volume has completed backing up. Is this possible?

You can disable parallel processing. However, could you please share your considerations behind this?
