I have a VMware host "SRV1". It has two VMs, VM1 & VM2. B&R 7 is installed on VM1. Can I use it to backup VM2?
I have been unable to get B&R on VM1 to see the host name SRV1, and I'm thinking what I want to do isn't possible. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

Re: Backup a VM on same host?
I am pretty sure it is possible to backup a VM on the same host. We are doing that at a number of our sites, but using the vCenter server as the "source". Are you receiving an error message when trying to add a vSphere host or vCenter server?

Re: Backup a VM on same host?
It's Monday, my brain hasn't arrived to work yet...it was a credentials issue. My bad.

Re: Backup a VM on same host?
Veeam B&R can backup any VM that is residing on the ESXi/Hyper-V server it has network access to. Glad that you've resolved this issue.
