Backup AD objects

Post by Franks_Asta »

Hello All,
Hope you all doing right!

Actually we are facing an issue in backup AD 2008R2SP1 objects from Veeam B&R v11.0 and we try with the agent also the same problem .
the message displayed when we use the AD explorer is { Failed to mount files: Mounter is in failed state Mount process aborted Agent failed to process method {Mount.Generic.Mount}.

Also the Veeam B&R can't see the job launched from the agent!

Already case is open with the support but for now i didi'nt get answer, it seems the support are busy so much , really understand this even we are all facing the pandamic!
Thank you so much and Stay safe

Hi Franks,

Hard to say without product logs, but it might be AV locking mount service or something like volume encryption on said machine. Does file level restore works for that backup?
Keep working with support to find the root of it.

/Thanks!

Hi Egor Yakovlev,

Actually we try with disabling AV, and there is no vloume encryption on the machine is Windows Server 2008 R2SP1, but to let you know Veeam B&R work like a charm with the other exchange machine.

Well if other backups mounting just fine we can set a bet on guest volumes configuration.
Can you please upload full logs bundle to your case - a screenshot is not enough to determine the reason behind mount failure.

/Thanks!
