Backup and antivirus scan

Hi,

Once a week, the processing rate of all my backups drops drastically.
The same day (but a few hours ago), a full scan of the antivirus runs on each VM.
The scan is complete by the time the Veeam job starts though.

Do you guys think there could be a link between the scanning and the backup rate ?

Does the amount of change block data / data transferred / data backed up spike in the job right after your virus scans?
