Backup Configuration E-Mails

Post by aich365 »

These are sent after a BCO file is created but before the time stamp is updated in the Config screen.
So if there is no e-mail for 3 days then the time stamp is not updated for 3 days even though the job completed successfully.

i would suggest that the time stamp should be updated before the e-mail is sent and the job closed.

Also if there is a failure with the bco there is no obvious way to see this except by going into History and selecting system
It would be ideal if the success or otherwise of the config could be shown in the main backup screen where details of the last 24 hours are shown

Hi Clive, could you please provide some screenshots as it is not entirely clear what timestamps are you referring to? Thanks.

Confirmed to be a bug; should be fixed in the next product update. Thanks.

Ok, we were able to reproduce the issue, currently in case Veeam B&R is unable to send the e-mail report, the entire configuration backup session is failed and you cannot see the successful backup record in 'Last successful backup'. In one of the future updates we're going to complete such sessions with a warning status, so they could be displayed there. Thanks for the heads up!
