Hi folks,
I have a NAS in RAID5 as a backup repository of a backup job.
I also have another NAS setup as a backup-copy repository for that job.
I've been meaning to replace disks in the primary NAS, and I know that the RAID re-sync will probably take a full day or so, which means it will be unavailable as a backup repository during that time. Is there a way to temporarily use the other NAS (repository for the backup copy) as the primary repository during that time?
Or should I try to copy the backup files from NAS-A to NAS-B (if there's enough space for both the backup files as well as the backup copy files), and re-configure the backup job?

Re: Backup Copy as primary target of backup job
Hi Guillaume, you can use the second NAS as a target by copying the backup job data there, temporarily switching the backup job repository to it, and mapping it to the copied backups. I'd disable the backup copy job during that period as you cannot run backup copy within the same repository.
