Backup Copy - Azure VM
Hi,
We're using backup copy to a VM in Azure. The VM is powered off and powered on with a specific backup cycle. I've set the backup copy job to only transfer data in that cycle. However the backup copy runs constantly and keeps sending an error that it can't connect to the server.
How can I prevent the backup copy job running all the time and sending errors?

Do you mean the job doesn't respect the configured backup copy window?

Re: Backup Copy - Azure VM
Hi,
I think the backup copy window is fine.
However outside of these hours it keeps trying to connect to the server, saying it can't and fails six times then sends an error message.
If I start the server, it will connect and say "waiting for backup copy interval time" or similar.

I think the only way to address this is to disable/enable the job back via scheduled pre/post job scripts.

Hi thanks,
Do you mean use Task Scheduler to run powershell commands to enable/disable the job at specific times?
