Backup Copy between two DataDomains

Post by gmajestix »

Hello!

I have a EMC DD6800 and DD4500 both with DDboost enabled on separate locations. My question is will DDboost be used for this Backup Copy job? When creating the job I'm presented with options for automatic compression and inline deduplication. Both should be probably set to no compression and dedupe friendly? Any thoughts?

Data will be rehydrated and transferred between Veeam B&R gateways, not directly between DataDomain storages. As for the job settings, it is recommended to enable Auto compression (provided the target repository is set to decompress data prior writing it to the storage) and disable inline dedupe.
