Backup copy job and allowed time frame
I have this specific BCC job which is not allowed inside working hours, but when it's creating GFS restore point (merging) it also falls into working hours and doesn't terminate which is not acceptable. Is there a way to fix that?

Re: Backup copy job and allowed time frame
Hi Matjaž, backup copy window affects only the actual data transfer process. Transform operations performed on the target repository are not affected by this setting. Could you please elaborate on why merge on the target repository during working hours is not acceptable for you?

Because it's eating bandwidth?

Sorry forgot about this one but issue remains. Yes it's CIFS.

Re: Backup copy job and allowed time frame
Can someone from Veeam shed ad light on this, a customer is getting really frustrated with this. We have terminate window configured on all jobs and all we want is that Veeam doesn't do ANYTHING between 6:00 and 16:00, but this seems mission impossible?

Re: Backup copy job and allowed time frame
If you're using CIFS repository, then installing a gateway server at the same site where CIFS repository is located should keep the "synthetic/merge" backup traffic local within the site. Here is the UG page describing how to set this up.
