Backup Copy Job and Restore Points

Post by AFalb »

Hello,
I've a question regarding backup copy jobs and restore points.

I configured a backup copy job with 21 restore points to keep and for archival 5 weekly, 4 monthly, 5 quarterly and 20 yearly backups.
Right now I've 36 restore points with 1 VBK (Start) and 35 VIB's (incremental restore points).

Shouldn't the job synthesize the archiving restore points and delete some VIB's?
Slowly I'm getting nervous because loosing one incremental point, the whole backup chain is useless.

Ok, here is a screenshot of my retention settings.

As soon as the running job is completed I'll open a support case.

As soon as the running job is completed I'll open a support case.
Please, do so. As based on the provided settings, a backup copy job job should have already synthesized at least several GFS .vbks. Thanks.
