Backup Copy Job Errors, Buffalo NAS

We are seeing the following errors from our copy jobs. Successful writing data with Arcserve trying to figure out what's going on.
We do have a case open with support 01075871. Thanks

Just to try and narrow things down a bit, if you run a ping from the Veem B&R server to the NAS while the merge is taking place do you get any timeouts at all?
How is the repository configured? As a CIFS share, or local target through an iSCSI connection etc.
Also are there any backup copy restore points already written to the repository, or does this happen while it is trying to write the initial vbk?
Usually i would expect to see the "specified network name is no longer available" if connection to the repository is lost.
