Hello,
this is an hypothetic configuration:
- 1 backup job run every day (forward incremental + synthetic full) with 7 retention point
- 1 backup copy job run every 7 day with 2 retention point
The first time the copy job creates a Full
The second time (after 7 days) it creates a .vib file, but how much data does it will transfer? 7 incrementals from source target merged in 1 .vib? How does Veeam work?

The backup copy job will find the most recent state of VMs that reside in the source repository and copy necessary data blocks to the target.
