Backup Copy Job interval > Backup Job Interval

Hello,

this is an hypothetic configuration:

- 1 backup job run every day (forward incremental + synthetic full) with 7 retention point
- 1 backup copy job run every 7 day with 2 retention point

The first time the copy job creates a Full

The second time (after 7 days) it creates a .vib file, but how much data does it will transfer? 7 incrementals from source target merged in 1 .vib? How does Veeam work?

Thank you

Marco

Hi Marco,

The backup copy job will find the most recent state of VMs that reside in the source repository and copy necessary data blocks to the target.

Thanks!
