I've noticed that the maximum number of restore points to keep is 99.
I would like to keep 1 year of backups so 365 restore points. Is this possible with a backup copy job?

Re: Backup copy job max number of restore points to keep
Hi Dave, you should be using GFS retention for this. You really don't want an incremental chain with 365 increments in it...

Re: Backup copy job max number of restore points to keep
With the latest patch it's now possible to keep up to 999 restore points however to prevent that you lose your complete backup chain if a some vib file gets corrupted is it possible to force the copy job to create a full backup every month?

Re: Backup copy job max number of restore points to keep
To force the job to pull entire data from the source, you would need to remove all restore points from disk via Veeam B&R console (using the Remove from disk command). If you want to retain existing restore points, use the Remove from backups command and new full and subsequent increments will be created in the new folder with the "_1" suffix added to the folder name (however take care of the old backups manually, since they will not be subjected to automatic retention anymore).
