Backup Copy Job Same Repository?

Hi im trying to create a Backup Copy Job for exsisting file server backup so i can archive off weekly+monthly and yearly backups, but i seem to have hit an issue.

Our File server current backup spans 30 days and goes to DRSTORE2 which is 1.5TB
Now i want the Backup Copy also to go to DRSTORE2 as it has 500gig free so i can have weekly monthly etc...

Now it does not seem to be working and i think it is due to the fact that the sourse and destanation repository is the same, is this the case?
I have selected in the backup copy job to only use the selected backup repository which is set to DR STORE2 but it still just states waiting for new restore points.

This will be a bit of a pain as i will have split the repository, which then will still be basically on the same Raid 5 array.

any help or info would be very mush appreacated.

This scenario, using the same repository as source and target, is not supported. Though, you can create additional folder on this server (DR STORE2), add it to a backup console as a new repository and use it as a target for a backup copy job.
