Did a quick search, but did not find a clear answer, and need to be sure.
I'm managing a client's infrastructure, and because of some reinstalls of vCenter, removing and adding VMs using datastore browser etc, we have quite a few older versions of VMs in backup files. I have enabled VM retention for the "normal" jobs, so I guess that will clear up the mail jobs.
They also have backup copy jobs for weekly, monthly, quarterly etc backups, and several "fulls" exist for all VMs because of this.
If we enable the VM retention for deleted VMs in backup copy jobs, will that touch the old fulls, or will this only happen for new recovery points from this time?

Re: Backup Copy Jobs - retention for deleted VMs
Lars, existing GFS restore points will be left intact, retention will be applied to the newly created restore points.

Re: Backup Copy Jobs - retention for deleted VMs
Thanks! This was as expected, but better safe than sorry!
