Folks,
Suppose that we backup a server at 19:00 every day using Foward Incremental with a 14 day retention cycle and synthetic fulls created on Saturday. During a Backup Copy job of that server, which runs each day at noon, what will happen on Sunday? Is the copy job forced to copy the entire synthetic full backup, since (as I understand) the latest incremental backup is deleted when the synthetic full backup has been successfully created? Or is there some other magical way to read only the changed data that resided in the deleted incremental backup, from the synthetic full backup?
Sincerely,
Per Jonsson

Re: Backup Copy of Forward Incremental Backup
Hello Per.
You are correct - for Backup copy operating in Simple mode incremental restore point is going to be created or synthesized from synthetic full backup at source repository. Thanks!magical way to read only the changed data that resided in the deleted incremental backup, from the synthetic full backup?
