backup copy problem

Hi

i get backup from my vms that size is 15GB then create a backup copy job and run that it copy my backup and put it on the other repository with size 22GB but my main question is why we have different size from vbk files ?

What are the compression, deduplication rates for the backup file created by each job?

It might be caused by several factors, but we know nothing about your repository settings. Also, is it an initial full backup of the VM (or VMs set) that was then immediately copied to the target repository? Or is there an incremental backup chain on the source already (1 full and several increments) and the backup copy has produced a single restore point from it? Too little information to judge.

that problem has been solved
but other problem : when i create backup copy job set restore point keep = 4 now there is 1 full and 3 incremental backup and then i click on active full backup but after i see there are 5 restore point 2 full backup and 3 incremental now what is the problem ? why save 5 restore point ?

If you create an active full, then retention rules of the forward incremental backup method will be applied to the backup chain.
