Backup Copy - Status Order
Hello,
I've seen that after the Upgrade to B&R U4a now the Status Order of each Backup Copy job is changed.
Before was:
1. Active copy
2. Pending
3. Success
"Warning/Error I don't remember where it was"
Now I've
1. Pending
2. Active copy
3. Success
It's possible to change thi view/order?
Thank's for the help.
Kind regards

Hello Gianluca,
The job states haven't changed in the latest release.
Why do you want to change the order?
Thanks!

Hi Nikita,
believe it's changed.
Usually when I select a Copy Job, on the bottom I can see all the VM that are copied. I press on the top ot the STATUS column and I change the order. Before I had
1. Active copy
2. Pending
3. Success
but now on the first I've the "Pending" VM.

From what version have you upgraded to B&R 9.5 U4a?
Is there any practical issue behind this question or you are just curious why you are experiencing different behavior?
Thanks!

Re: Backup Copy - Status Order
before we had 9.4U3a. Upgraded to U4 and then U4a.
It's something that was more practical in my opinion, so that I could keep an eye on what happened as a copy. But it isn't something that does not allow me to use the product, therefore strictly necessary.
I just wanted to understand why it has changed and if there was a way to have the arrangement of before.
thank's to you too

Hi Gianluca,
I've double-checked with developers. There were no changes made regarding copy job states, however some global sorting changes could impact it.

By
do you mean default sorting of the statuses or order of appearance? Before was:
1. Active copy
2. Pending
3. Success
Now I've
1. Pending
2. Active copy
3. Success
Thanks!

Hi Nikita,
The Default sorting is "by Name" (Server Name). And I can change the sort selecting the column "Status" (order of appearance).
I hope I understood the question well and answered you.
Thanks.
Kind regards

Re: Backup Copy - Status Order
Correct.
Now, going back to your original question.
Both in u3 and u4 when you run backup copy job, VM statuses start with "pending", while VMs are waiting for backup resources. After that copy process takes place, you see the progress from 0% to 100%. Once the copy is done, status is shown(Success/Warning/Failure).
In u3 the behavior was the same. Do you experience or expect other statuses order?
Thanks

Re: Backup Copy - Status Order
Good Morning Nikita,
with the "old" U3a I had as first, when sorted selecting the column "Status", the Active, than the Pending and as last the Success (Warning/Failure).
Now with the U4a I've as first the Pending.
Thanks

Re: Backup Copy - Status Order
So it's about sorting rather than the statuses order, thanks for the clarification.
Well, as I said there were no deliberate changes of the default sorting.
We will consider your feedback as a feature request though.

Re: Backup Copy - Status Order
Good Morning,
just for your info, I've seen that this type of order isn't only on a "Backup Copy Job" but on a "Backup Job" too.
And I'm sure that with the U3a the order was "actives backup" (% number of execution), "Pending","Success".
Thanks again.
Kind regards
