Case #05636398
Dear all
Our exchange server backup is failing with this weird error that I can't find anywhere.
Veeam server can ping the hostname and IP and so does exchange.
All antivirus exclusions are set.
Found a reverse PTR error for the server in DNS and that is fixed.
Found a firewall route error (to outside) and that was also fixed.
There was a VSS error related to .bak regedit profile paths and I deleted those .bak ones - eventview do not show that VSS error anymore - fixed.
Removed (disabled) ip6 both from Veeam and Exchange server.
I can't find anyone in the internet having this same problem. A ticket is open but we haven't got anywhere yet.
Any thoughts?
Thank you in advance!

Re: Backup Fails with IP List Empty error - Case #05636398
Hello and Welcome to Veeam R&D Forums!
I recommend working with our support team to find the solution, our possibility to troubleshoot technical issues over the forum posts is very limited. You may check that the account used for Exchange guest processing has the local Administrator permissions, maybe our guest component cannot retrieve IP addresses list due to insufficient permissions.
Thanks!

I have already engaged with the techsupport. I posted this here to see if there would be anyone that already had the same problem who would share their experience with me.
It looks like I was able to fix the issue by fixing some DNS reverse PRT and forward entries.
