Backup for replication seed

Post by JosueM »

Hello,

What's the best/right way to take a backup on the main site and use it as replica seed on the remote site. The VM is about 1TB size, I tried to make replication over current wan link but it nevers finish and returns errors.

I was thinking if veeam allows me to use a external disk once to take the full backup locally , then move the disk to the remote site and somehow use that backup as replication seed?

Any help or suggestion is welcome, thanks in advance.

Yep, it's possible with Veeam. There is a pretty descriptive post regarding replica seeding; might be worth taking a look.

Did the test with a smaller VM and worked like a charm. Thanks for the help!
