Hey veeam,
a nice feature would be to create a Backup from Script stdout. In this case we would be able to trigger a script which produce a output (like json or anything else) and pipe that directly into veeam backup repo.
For example, Bacula/Bareos has such a feature - in this way you are able to backup any application or what you want...
In our special case we would create "Hashicorp vault" snapshot (dump) and save them directly to the Backuprepo without needed to save it on the local Datastore before.
best regards,
/ARO

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] Backup from Pipe/Stream
Hi,
Simply placing things inside Veeam backup repo doesn't mean that cool stuff such as application item restore, PITR, and other things will be supported automatically.
Without those capabilities the feature of 'placing any stuff on Veeam repo' will be merely an equivalent of creating a fileshare/iSCSI target on the repo and mounting it onto the client machine.
Thanks!
