Hi everybody,
we are using backup files health check our backup files once a week to make sure that everything is ok. Yesterday I observed this step via GUI and saw that the progress is jumping between 39, 38 and 36 %. Quite strange because assume that you see a progress of 39 % and you expect that the next step will of course be 40 %, you will instead see a progress of 36 %! 37 % is somehow skipped, you'll see 38 and 39 and after that 36 is being displayed...
I have seen this behaviour before so this is definitively not a one-time wonder.
Has anybody else seen this bug?

Re: backup health check - progress is jumping
Are you using per-VM backup chains, by any chance? Thanks.

Re: backup health check - progress is jumping
That's what I suspected. With per-VM chain setting in place, health check is running in parallel for multiple chains, GUI looks over chains one by one and shows current percentage. So, the percentage fluctuates over time.
We will think how this behaviour can be improved in one of the next product updates.
Thanks.
