Backup Image Deletion

Post by rogerdu »

If policies (Backup and Backup Copy) are deleted, are the retention policies for the backup images still applied? I have a customer who has moved their exchange servers to another site and backup copies are still active after being more than 2 months old (retention is 30 days)

The same can be said for backup clients where the system has been deleted from a policy that is still active...

Will these images expire and be deleted from disk? The manual indicates that the image management happens after a successful backup (or copy)...

Nope, applying retention is a part of job run. Thanks!

Such VMs will be subjected to deleted VMs retention.
