Backup job periodically

Post by ManuelRighi »

Hello,
I have a problem with backup job periodically.
I need to start a job every 8 hours from 4 AM to 9 PM.
I wish the job were run at 4 AM, 12 PM, 8 PM.

On my job I checked "run the job automatically" and I selected "periodically every" and insert 8 on first field and I selected Hours. On schedule bottom I permitted from 4.00 AM to 8.59 PM.

My job run on 6 PM and 10 AM

Someone can help me ?

Is it possible that you specified the aforesaid schedule when there was like 5+ pm and the closest full hour was taken as a time for running job?

Thanks.

yes, is possible.
I then recreate the job outside the backup window (ie after 8:59 PM) ?

If you recreate a job outside a backup schedule, in this case the first permitted hour will be chosen as a time for a job run. So, it seems to be exactly what you’re after.

Thanks.
