Hi,
I am new to Veeam and we are about to transport the NAS we are using for as a backup repository to our offsite location. Before we do that I want to seed the data to it.
As the offsite backup will serve as our DR I would prefer to have an exact backup of the data from our main site to our DR site. I setup a backup job and then a backup copy job as a test and noticed the data sets were different.
Is there any reason not to setup 2 copy jobs? One to the local backup and a second to our offsite location?
Thanks!
Ben

Re: Backup Job vs Backup Copy for Offsite
Hi Ben and welcome to the forums!
Do you have a reason to create several backup copy jobs?
Thanks!
Could you clarify what do you mean please?rem2000 wrote:I setup a backup job and then a backup copy job as a test and noticed the data sets were different.
Best practice is to setup backup and backup copy job. You can create several backup copy jobs if you want to use different setting/source/target etc.rem2000 wrote:Is there any reason not to setup 2 copy jobs? One to the local backup and a second to our offsite location?
