Backup Mode - Proxy Question

Post by ec-inflxx »

Hi,
I am running a physical server that has the primary installation of Veeam. We are running Direct SAN Access for the backup mode. I decided to create a Proxy to help take the load off the primary server and created a VM for this. I have a couple of questions:

1. If I am running my jobs through this proxy should it be using the virtual appliance mode?
2. How can I check which mode it really is using through the proxy?

The reason I ask is my jobs are still running from last night and they are going around 17/18MB. So I am guessing they are doing it over network mode.

Is there any settings that I need to add or anything to do to get the proxy to use the right backup mode?

Please find here the full list of vStorage API limitations regarding using Virtual Appliance mode. To check which mode is used for processing of a particular VM, select this VM to the left in the Realtime Statistics window available on the job shortcut menu.
