Backup Non VSS database

Hi, I have a Sybase database that runs a scheduled backup to local disk using sybase dbbackup.exe, if I use Veeam to back up the VM do I need to worry about quiescing the live database? Assuming Veeam backs up the already backed up database this can then be restored after the VM has been restored?

Hi Chris, If you're using native tools to backup Sybase database, there is no need to worry about application-aware imaging. Thanks!
