This night i learned that using a backup repository to seed a WAN Replica, results in a failes backup job cause files are locked. Is this intentionally?

Re: Backup not possible during seeding from Repository?
Hi, Daniel. What backup method you’re using? Forward or Reversed incremental one? Thanks.

Hi Eremin,
it's a reversed incremental Backup Job for SAP servers.

Re: Backup not possible during seeding from Repository?
In case of reversed incremental mode, the full backup is constantly being touched, since each time changes literally are injected into the full backup file to rebuild it to the most recent state of a VM. So, it can’t be used at the same time by both backup and seeding activity.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
