Hi there,
So to put it short and to the point,
If you are not allowed to snap a DC/GC AD scenario because its running in active mode, meaning that the snap wont work because its not writing changes as its happening, what is the option or solution there?
How can I use Veeam to correctly protect an environment that has active DC/GC and multiple of them, and ensure that the written backup has all changes as it was happening during the job?

Re: Backup of AD/GC/DC Scenario
The image-based solutions guarantee VM recovery to the point when the helper snapshot has been taken. This is the way it works. Though, I'm not sure why one is not allowed to do it - you can search these forums, using key words (Domain Controller, Global Catalogue, etc.) and see how many people are using such technology in their environments regularly.
Also, in overwhelming majority of cases there are more than one DC in environment with which newly-recovered DC that isn't aware of occurred changes can be synced.
Thanks.

Remeber that with our application aware processing we know about Active directory services running on a machine and can take the appropriate steps to ensure that a USN rollback issue does not happen.
