In making a copy of the Veeam DB according to kb1471, I need to know if passwords/etc are exposed in the backup copy.
e.g. are the credentials stored alongside protection groups stored in plaintext, and any other password issues I should be aware of if an outsider gets hold of the backup?
Thanks.

Re: Backup of Veeam SQL Instance - are passwords protected?
From when I looked in the different Veeam tables, they're stored in an encrypted manner. No plaintext that I've seen.

No credentials are ever stored in an unencrypted state.
