New to product. Have not installed yet. Quick planning question...
VCenter 5.0 server. Remote ESXi 5 host in another physical location. Need to back up one VM with Veeam free backup in preparation for removing snapshots. If I install VFB on VCenter server in site A, tell it to backup VM1 in site B, and store the backup on the same host in site B, will any of the data traffic go across the WAN? Or will everything execute locally on the remote (site B) host?
Thanks!

Re: backup over network
Hi Charlie,
Veeam Backup Free edition performs ad-hoc backups using the default proxy which is deployed on the same machine where your backup console resides. In your case the backup traffic will go through the WAN link. If you want to avoid it, please install Veeam Backup Free on the remote site.
Thanks!
