Backup proxy connection failure after Mircosoft patch day.
Since Mircosoft patch day ( 07/14/2015 ) I have an ever-changing status of the backup proxy.
Every hour I have for 3 to 5 minutes " Backup proxy connection failure".
Has anyone else this problem ?
VBR System 8.0.0.2030 on W2012 R2 Standard .

May I ask you several questions:
- what's number of the said update?
- did you apply it to backup server or proxy server?
- where did you get the given warning in backup console or in Veeam ONE? I'm wondering because one of our users has just reported the very same problem

Yes I installed windows updates yesterday and since then I have those warnings, Veeam ONE is reporting them via mail.
Our Veeam installation is stand-alone, so all components on one machine.

For us it is also a stand alone solution (everything on one server).
One sends the "backup proxy error" via email.
If I knew which update brings the issue, then I would uninstall it, but I can't identify the upate which brings the problem.
But if other people have the same problem, then it seems to be a general problem.

If VB&R works as expected and Veeam ONE keeps sending warnings, you should open regarding behaviour of the latter (Veeam ONE). Thanks.

also I have the same problem...win2k12r2 after reboot today every 3/5 minuts veeam One send me emails on backup proxy connection failure and backup repository connection failure , and resolved ...also my Veeam installation is stand-alone, so all components on one machine.
from esxi i can ping the nfs repository , from veeam backup i can see, mount, and I can ping the nfs nas repository, I have checked the port 111 and 6161 , checked the firewall , the cable connection and all are good...

In this case you should either uninstall one of the updates or renew the maintenance contract. Please take a look at this post for more details > Annual Support/Maintenance

Hy, VBR and ONE in same machine O.S. W2012r2 Std.
I would add that, after sending mails from 6.30 am to 3.30 PM suddenly the problem, at the time i write ,seems disappeared...if tomorrow reappears I will say..

hey men .., bad news, today we found because ONE stopped to send mail..., the postmaster of my isp blocked the sending for precaution (He thought we had a virus ) so now we have disabled the alert mail on "ONE " for the moment.., we confirm actually that still we have the problem....

You need to open a support ticket if you want to be notified about the resolution directly from our support team, once they find the cause for this issue.

I had the exact same issue after patching my server today. After comparing servers, i uninstalled the Security Update for Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 Edition (KB3068457) and that fixed MY problem with the "Backup repository connection failure" errors after 1st round on Windows Updates this morning…
