We currently do QNAP mounted as ISCSI onto physical repos / proxies. One at each DC.
We backup each site locally and backup copy over to the other site.
Works fine but getting old.
We also have a R7515 full of disks as our immutable repo. Its fast and with fast clone its super storage efficient.
Can I just get another R7515 and have one at each site. Backup each site to local and then backup copy to the other?

Re: Backup Repos - Can I just use immutable for all?
Hi Daniel
Of course. That is supported.
We recommend to use a different media type for the backup copy, but technically there is no limitation.
A Dell R7515 will be must more stable and secure as a iSCSI lun from a QNAP device.
Just make sure that both hardened repositories can talk to each other. Backup Copy data flow is from Data Mover on the source repository to the Data Mover on the target repository. You can find the required ports in our user guide.
Best,
Fabian

Great
I am trying to minimize the amount of infrastructure we have. We backup copy from both locations to a Veaam cloud repo so we do have backup copies on different media also.
