Backup Repository server Task slots

HI all

first post on the forums, I've been looking at this question for a while and have been able to find the answer anywhere in documentation.

If I have a Windows backup repository server that is presenting two volumes for backup ( E:\backups and F:\backups drive) . the server has 4 CPU cores and as such the default concurrent jobs on each repository is 4. I'm wondering if both repositories are configured for 4 concurrent tasks will the total number of tasks running on that server be 8 ( 4 for each repository) or 4 ( 1 per CPU core)

Essentially I'm wondering are the repository server task slots a global limit or set to whatever limit you want ( obviously with a degradation) per repository?

Yes, the total would be 8 for the server.
