Backup retry

Question 1:

When a backup fails on just one VM, is it possible to retry this VM only? Or do I need to perform all backups of all JOB VMs?

Doubt 2:

I need to prevent the backup of a VM that is part of my JOB.

I'm used to pausing the backup of this VM on my other tool. In Veeam, is this pause the option to exclude VM?

1. Automatic job retries will attempt to retry only those VMs that have failed during the job run.
2. Yes, temporarily excluding the VM will help to address this case.

Failed job should have a Retry option available, when you right-click on it.

Manual retry should work only on failed VMs.

It's important to note that when you right-click on a job, if you click on start then the job will start fresh and backup all VMs. You have to specifically click on retry in order to only retry the failed VMs.
