backup size growing

3.1 release notes say that it fixed a bug in 3.01 causing backup size growing over time. Will existing backup be expected to shrink with 3.1 usage or to get rid of lost space we would need to create new backups?

Alex, yes - best would be to create new backups. The lost space will also be reclaimed in case you add additional VMs to existing jobs, but it may not happen for 100% of lost space (many factors there).
