Backup size on Veeam Service Provider is very big

Hi All;

We use veeam service provider service for copying vm backups to cloud. While backup size on the local veeam server is 60 gb the file on the veeam cloud is 600 GB?

How can that be? Any suggestions? Backup job is set to create synthetic backup every saturday. No full backups.

Backup job is set to create synthetic backup every saturday. No full backups.

Synthetic backups are full backups. A synthetic full backup will create a new full backup file from existing data on the backup repository and incremental data from the source.
