Hi,
I have to following Problem / question: VMs running on ESX-Server (Standalone, only physical Server in the environement) so I have no Chance to plug in a Tape or RDX-Device (not supported by VMWare). I consider to take 4 NAS Devices (for every week of the month one) and Change them like RDX or Tapes. But the Problem is the Networkpath of this devices are all different. How can I set up Jobs then? Not possible .. only if NAS will be Change daily. So I thought to create DFS-Path. But will this works b'c there will be allways missing some incrmental files.
Any ideas to solve that with Veeam?
Thx for any tipp or hint
Rds Daniel

Re: Backup to changing NAS-System
If you'dlike to use RDX as I understood, you can connect the usb version to the ESXi server, and use usb pass-thorugh to publish the device to the Veeam virtual machine.
Have a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1022290, depending on the configuration you can also leverage usb 3.0 thus having great speed. You can use the same solution also for tapes probably.

Re: Backup to changing NAS-System
There will be several limitations with directly attached devices, though. Thanks.
