Backup to DR testing

Hi I was wondering if anyone could offer advice on this. My requirement is as follows:-

Site A (Primary)
Veeam Physical backup server with 12tb and Multi Tape changer
Daily backups to local repositories using Reverse Incremental.
These are then backed up to LTO6 tape.

Site B (DR)
Veeam Physical backup server with 12tb and Tape drive

If i use backup copy jobs to copy to the a repository on the DR veeam server, can i schedule restores into our DR cluster from the dr Veeam server. Alternatively can i run backups in site A to the local repos and at the same time replica running from Site b DR server so we can test the restores from DR?

Hi Daz and welcome to the forums,
Could you clarify if you have 2 Veeam Backup servers, one on each site and if yes, why you need 2 of them?

You can restore using any server if it "sees" the backup files. You might need to rescan the repository to make sure of backups made by another VBR server.

Thanks for the reply.

We wanted 2 so if we lost our main site we could easily restore on the DR site. Which way round would you do it as we need to have the backed up servers restored weekly and running in DR so our users can connect into the terminal servers and launch the apps.

Here is a great topic about the need of several servers. Please review.
I would use one VBR server on a VM and make backup of it and deploy a proxy server on DR for remote backups.
