Backup to StoreOnce with replication error

Hi folks,

We replicated our veeam backups to DR via storeonce replication but recently i see an error message like this " Cancelled paused Replication data job for file ***** on Share repo1 (The Source File contents changed whilst the Job was paused)" and this cause replication is out of scyn.What could be the reason ?

This is hard to tell with just this message. I would suggest contacting support and post the support case ID here for future reference.

As I get it this is the message given by the storage due to the fact that one of the source backup files has changed while replication was paused for some reason. Are we talking about CIFS repository on StoreOnce here, not Catalyst? What is the Veeam backup job transport mode then (forward incremental, forever forward, reverse incremental)?

Foggy yes its CIFS not Catalyst and transport mode not forever inc. its weekly inc. in and active full. in weekend.

Then the file in question should have been modified outside Veeam B&R since it never touches previous backups in case of forward incremental (unless the file in question is VBM). You should look at it from the storage perspective.

Actually we have vdm file every backup folder.Is it normal? is this the problem?

VBM file contains backup metadata, it is stored along with every backup chain and updated during every job run.
