Hello!
In our SAN we have 4 ESX-Host. Our Virtual Center is running on a virtual machine.
Our Backup Server is a physical machine. Veeam is installed their. A storage is attached with Fc over the SAN.
How do I have to conigure the proxy that I get a fast backup? Our processing rates are about 15-20MB/s.
Or can their be another problem?
thx.

Re: Backup very slow (Proxy?)
Please look at the bottleneck stats for your jobs, should tell the weakest link.

Re: Backup very slow (Proxy?)
The proxy loves CPU. We get a processing rate of 150 -> 200 MB/s. That is with 8 Xeon's cores at 2,4 Ghz on each proxy.
It has 100% CPU usage during backups, so that is our limit.
But if you do as foggy suggest, you should get an idea of where the bottleneck is.
There are a few settings you can tweak. We did a few test but in our envirionment default settings were the best.
