Hi all,
perhaps the question is trivial but I'm a bit confused
Our need is to backup vm to the cloud, specifically on Google Cloud Storage (not as dr site, just a copy of the vm).
Can I use Google Cloud Storage as repo for Cloud Connect?
I haven't found any configuration or hints about GCS except this 2014 article https://www.veeam.com/blog/how-to-follo ... ation.html
Thanks
As of v9.5 you can't use Google Cloud Storage Natively as a repo for Cloud Connect. Similar to the current story with AWS s3/Glacier and Azure Blob there isn't native integration. That's not stopping you creating a file server within GCP that somehow mounts Google Cloud Storage and present that as a repo.

@keiichiKun I don't believe there is any technical reason why you couldn't create a Windows instance on Google Cloud add appropriate storage and use this as a Veeam Cloud Connect server, (I am not sure of storage limitations, with Microsoft Azure we were limited till recently to having only 1TB disks x 16 per Azure VM, now its 4TB x 16)
I am not sure on cost of doing this but if you can have a windows instance then you can have Veeam running.

Well, I've already a licensed instance of cloudberry (only backup, but i think that cloudberry drive is affordable)
So if there's no native integration I'll use that
Thanks!
We use Google for several items in our environment and have unlimited storage in Google Drive and Team Drive. Having a way to leverage that for off-site long-term storage without a workaround would be ideal.
You can mount Google Drive to needed server, using utilities mentioned above, and utilize the server as a repository afterwards. However, I'm not sure why you've referenced Cloud Connect in your post - are you planning to provide repository as a service for your clients?
