Hi all,
I have a big volume that is fine when backing up offsite, but then get stuck forever doing the backupcopy job transformation. Is this a weekly occurence like with local jobs? Are there any parameters that I might have missed to speed this up?
Also, I have read here that windows dedupe on the offsite repository might be an issue.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: BACKUPCOPY JOB Transformation takes forever
Hi, Geoff. Backup Copy job transformation is daily, and its performance is dependent solely on the backup storage performance. Thanks!

Re: BACKUPCOPY JOB Transformation takes forever
Target storage being the backup copy job bottleneck is expected for dedupe storage. Backup copy job is a synthetic activity and requires lots of I/O.
