basic replication issues

trying to replicate from Esxi 3.5 or 4 (free) to Esxi 4 (evaluation mode) I cannot seem to select replica destination. This is the same if I reverse the replication targets, but understand I need to be in evaluation mode on the target. any ideas ?

Please refer to System Requirements for Veeam Backup, as replication to ESXi as a target is not supported by Veeam Backup 3.1.

ah...thanks for clarifying !! so i need to find ESX simply to be able to replicate.

Can I backup to Esxi host as a cold stand by ?

In the current version, ESXi is only supported as source - it cannot be backup or replication target.
