Best practice for lost Performance Extent

Post by wocomike »

Hi All,

We’re using a SOBR with a performance tier locally, and Backblaze as our capacity extent.

Unfortunately ReFS is not so resilient, and we lost our local performance repository. (Despite BBU on our RAID controller, a power outage took out the ReFS global table).

Anyhow…. Best practice question: recreate the performance tier, remove the old performance tier and add the new performance tier to the SOBR? Then do an active full?

Any input is greatly appreciated. I have object locking on the BackBlaze tier and retention is set to 30 days, with forward incrementals. I’m hoping not to cause a large usage spike in BackBlaze. Should I put the the capacity extent in maintenance mode for a while?

Thank you in advance!
