Best practice for simple 2 node Exchange 2019 DAG backup
I've a client with a simple 1 database, 2 node Exchange DAG environment. The active node is in his HQ and the passive one is in our DC. The DC based node would become active if the HQ ever goes offline. We want to put in a Veeam backup now, but the documentation as far as I can see is ambiguous. Some places say to back up both nodes in a single job (which will be a PITA pulling all that data over a VPN), where as others refer to backing up only the passive node (which would be easier) when there's a concern about backups triggering a failover. Which is it?
