Best strategy for saving backups to tape - virtual appliance

Post by Oletho »

I would like to get backups saved to tape for storing offsite.

Is it as easy as just installing Legato Networker client on the appliance and saving *.vbk? Will that be enough for disaster recovery when running restore from a new appliance? I recall a mention of some tool used for that.

What about running backups, open files?

Sure, this will be enough. There are multiple existing discussions about storing Veeam backups to tape, I recommend that you search for tape vbk for more information on how our current customers are doing this. Thanks!
