[VHRISO] boot fails on Proxmox

Post by shaneintercare »

MOD: split from veeam-backup-replication-f2/managed-har ... 96192.html

We are testing this on proxmox but are unable to get it to boot correctly. The iso installes correctly and the device is setup as uefi with secure boot enabled. After installation the error message pop-ups with: failed to load boot0001 uefi qemu qemu harddisk from pciroot .... / not found

Yet in the installer phase it detects the drives just fine. Switched the controller over to the vmware para virtualisation driver, but the same error message. We've tested it on vmware without issue, but proxmox seems to have hit a roadblock.

Hi,

While we are looking into this internally, you might want to check for similar topics on the Proxmox community forum.

Please open a support ticket with us just in case we will need more info.

Thanks!

Hi, we've resolved this one. It was our fault. The first disk was 93GB and the others in TB's large. Resulting in it installing in the other large disks instead of the one on 93GB. We overlooked the 100GB demand.

Hello,
hmm, I cannot reproduce it. I have the following setup (on VMware to be fair)
- 90GB disk
- 1000 GB disk
- 1500 GB disk

It installs fine and boots fine. The 90GB disk 90GB ignored (I deleted the disk and the system was still booting fine).

Best regards
Hannes
